Verse 1

yə̄ vā̊ərəšāni vaocā paoiryehyā̊

Now will I proclaim to those who will hear the things to be remembered, praises and adorations for Ahura and prayers for the Good Mind.

Verse 2

at vā̊ xšnaošā aibī.jainyātā həṇtī

Hear with your ears the best things. Reflect with clear purpose on the two choices of decision, each man for himself.

Verse 3

yə̄ mainyu paourvyə̄ yā̊ yəma həṇtī

In the beginning, the two spirits who are twins declared their nature, the one good and the one evil, in thought, word, and deed.

Verse 4

ahyā̊ yasā̊ nəmaŋhā ustānazastō

Between these two, the wise choose correctly, not the foolish. When the two spirits met, they established life and death.

Verse 5

at hōi varanam drəguuā̊ akəm shyaθəm

And in the end, the worst existence shall be for the followers of falsehood, but the best mind for the followers of truth.
