🔥 Yasna 50 - The Praise of Zarathustra

Hymn 15 of Zarathustra

Verses: 4

Verses

Verse 1

Can my soul count on anyone for help? Who is there for my herd, who for myself a protector, at need, other than Asha and Thyself, O Ahura Mazda, and the Best Thought? O Teacher, how shall the seeker of Right find Thee?

Zarathustra asks who protects him besides Asha and Ahura Mazda. How shall seekers find God?

Verse 2

Tell me then, O Ahura, how those who seek shall find the path of Asha. I know that the man who hearkens best to Thy word is blessed among all. May the Good Mind guide us all to that which is most glorious.

Those who hearken to divine teaching are blessed; the Good Mind guides to glory.

Verse 3

I will worship you all my days, O Mazda Ahura, with Truth and the Best Thought. I will pray that Thou makest me mighty for the care of the Right, granting through Thy sovereignty the blessings of the Good Mind.

Lifetime dedication to worship Mazda with Truth and Good Thought.

Verse 4

My praise and song I dedicate to Thee, O Mazda, and to Asha, so long as I have strength and will. Grant through Righteousness the reward that the faithful desire: entrance to the House of Song.

Praise and song dedicated to Mazda; the faithful desire entrance to paradise.
